Discover our collection of handmade soaps, entirely cold saponified, without exception. Cold saponification is an artisanal manufacturing technique that we particularly appreciate because it is the only technique that allows, at present, to preserve intact all the vegetable oils and natural active ingredients.
Adapted to the face and the body, all our cold saponified soaps are surgras and enriched in shea butter up to 25% and in olive oil up to 35%. The different oils present in the surgras soap provide other qualities (lather, slip, etc.) in addition to their respective cosmetic properties. To these beneficial oils and butters are added active ingredients to meet the needs of each skin. The color of our handmade soaps, all from natural dyes, may vary, the hand stamping too, but its qualities, never.
Each handmade soap is unique and made in the workshop of our artisanal soap factory nestled in the heart of the Cevennes National Park. In this haven of peace, man and animal live together, as well as many natural species that evolve together in harmony. This is why our solid soaps have these very specific names.
Simply because in addition to preserving all the properties of vegetable oils through cold saponification, it is more economical, more practical and much more ecological. An artisanal soap in solid form can last 2 to 3 months, while it will take 2 to 3 bottles of shower gel to cover this same period. In addition, our handmade soap generates little or no waste. To top it all off, solid soap is easy to take with you, even when you travel.
Les Âmes Sauvages, unique, practical, economical and ecological solid soaps.
First of all, it is essential to choose a solid soap adapted to your skin type. Some of our solid soaps are suitable for all skin types, while others contain properties more suited to combination or oily skin. In any case, none of our solid soaps will leave you feeling tight because they all contain nourishing agents (notably shea butter and olive oil) designed to keep your skin healthy while moisturizing it.
It is generally recommended to clean the face with soap once or twice a day, in the morning and in the evening, in order to remove the impurities that have accumulated throughout the day or night. To use a solid soap, nothing could be easier :
Result: a cleaned skin and the hydrolipidic film of your skin restored.
The cold saponification process for making artisanal soap involves mixing fats, such as vegetable oils, with a caustic soda solution. The mixture is poured into molds and allowed to sit for the chemical reaction of saponification to take place. The handmade soap is then cut into individual bars and matured for several weeks. The result is a skin-friendly, environmentally friendly soap made with mostly natural, active ingredients.
Our artisanal soap factory is labeled Cosmébio and Slow Cosmétique, which testifies to our commitment to the use of reasoned or organic raw materials. In this sense, you will find no palm oil, no paraben, no EDTA, no mineral oil and no synthetic perfume inside our solid soaps. These labels also prove the care we take in selecting recyclable packaging.
At Les Âmes Sauvages, we have acquired a family know-how over the last 10 years. In our workshop located in the Cevennes National Park, we work with passion to offer you surgras soaps adapted to all skin types. We are also committed to making our products in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way.
