Dense and creamy foam, fragrance free
To be applied with a shaving brush, the shaving soap lather is dense, creamy, long-lasting and gentle on the skin. A blend of cocoa butter, coconut oil, castor oil and shea butter, the soap is cold saponified with a mixture of potash and soda to provide a lather suitable for shaving.
The shaving soap has specificities. It must provide a fine bubbled foam, very dense, which clings to the skin and remains in place without drying out during shaving. It must also ensure a perfect glide to the blade and limit irritations due to shaving.
Our shaving soap has been designed to meet these specifications, without using stearic acid (mostly from palm oil) and by being cold processed.
Cocoa and shea butters compensate for the absence of stearic acid by offering the same density. To boost the foam, coconut and castor oils complete them. To ensure comfort and glide, we add white clay and supplement the glycerin produced naturally by saponification with extra glycerin (from rapeseed).
Then there are the alkalis... Potash brings an incomparable creaminess and offers a soft foam that stays in place on the skin. The soda and a touch of salt solidify the soap and reinforce the durability and the holding of the foam.
So as not to interfere with other products in your shaving routine, the shaving soap is fragrance-free. Only a slight scent of traditional soap.
