French Artisan soap makers, we offer a wide range of solid soaps made by cold saponification, a soap making technique that preserves all the properties of the raw materials (that we choose with care!) while ensuring an ecological manufacturing process.
Our handcrafted cold process soap promises to pamper your skin thanks to the quality of the shea butter and olive oil that are present. Each soap is unique and has its own specific properties due to the active ingredients contained inside, which allow them to meet the needs and specificities of each skin.
Les Âmes Sauvages also propose several accessories designed by local artisans, to take your solid soap with you everywhere.
Our know-how extends to the creation of artisanal candles. These candles are intended to embalm your home for a long time.
Choose the atmosphere of your choice by falling for one of our handcrafted candles made with organic soy wax without GMO, beeswax, cotton wick not chemically treated and aromatic compositions developed by a perfumer.
And it is because our soap factory is located in the center of the Cevennes National Park, certified as the largest international reserve of starry skies in Europe by the IDA (International Dark Sky Association) that each of our candles bears the name of a constellation.
In our workshop we use manufacturing processes called "cold" or low temperature which preserve the quality of raw materials and amplify the effectiveness of formulations. These manufacturing methods cannot be industrialized and require quality raw materials and a long time.
A cold process soap requires a minimum of five weeks of refining before being offered to our customers.
Our entire manufacturing process has been developed with an ethical approach. All our products are good for the environment. From the origin of the raw materials to the manufacturing process to the biodegradability of the products, We propose 100% ecologic products. This is also why our cosmetics are labeled Cosmos Organic and why we are Slow Cosmetics laureates.
Respect for the environment and nature is our main value.
They are good for the skin. All the materials used are indicated on the packaging of the products. Like all artisan soap makers, we are constantly testing our products and recipes. They represent years of research to find the perfect blend and the rights amounts for an optimal result in terms of touch, smell, efficiency, sensation and well-being.
We are working in a workshop nestled in the heart of the Cévennes National Park, which is significant: This natural park is, in France, the only national park of medium mountains with a significant permanent population. It is an inhabited park, in several ways. People live there alongside protected natural species.
One of the fun things about being a soap maker is that it's the most mundane of products. Soap, the bar of soap, is an everyday thing.
Behind, on the side, very small on the front of the package, but always there, and for good reason, it's mandatory: the list of ingredients! At the regulatory level, it is called the INCI (pronounced INKI): International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients. This list is often obscure. It requires the use of English and/or Latin terms. Under a strange name, it is simply the only soap manufacturing technique that allows to preserve all the properties of the raw materials used while ensuring an eco-friendly manufacturing process. Cold saponification of soaps, an artisanal process Cold saponification is a process that is very difficult to industrialize. It requires raw materials of excellent quality […]
